Description
1968 Egg Harbor SportFisher Flybridge
Asking price: $27900
37’ LOA (Beam: 13’)
Location: Washington, DC (Anacostia River) (Note: There is a possibility to keep the boat where she is. It’s a private club, and you’d need to be voted in, but if you are, the slip is only $190/mo!)
Engines: Twine Chrysler 440 Marine Gas Engines. 330hp each. Original engines rebuilt in 2016. New carbs in 2018. New alternators and voltage regulators in 2020. Mechanical fuel pumps with the option to switch to electronic pumps at the push of a button (helps to prime the carbs if she’s being sitting for a while.) Engines work great. Most physical gauges do not work (or are not wired), but the addition of a digital engine manager in 2020 converts signals to digital and feeds to a SIMRAD head unit for monitoring.
Fuel: Twin 95 gallon tanks. Upgraded to digital tank level monitors AND fuel flow meters in 2020. All managed by the SIMRAD GO7 XSR system.
Head: New, fully electric head (push-button flush.) There is a 26 gallon bladder holding tank in the bilge that is in tact but capped off, as I upgraded to a 40 gallon holding tank to accommodate the large number of people this boat can hold (I’ve had as many as 28 passengers underway. She’s a party barge!)
Fresh water holding bladder: 50 gallons. Automatic potable water pump replaced in 2020.
Below, the couch pulls out, the dining table covers, and the v-berth can be used such that she’d technically sleep 6. But let’s call it 6 very close friends.
Custom JBL audio system with 12” powered sub, Bluetooth, etc.
Upgraded red/white LED cabin lights throughout
“Disco Lights” on deck. Sound activated. Yeah, she’s a party barge.
The fridge and freezer are intact and in good condition, thought he original compressor guts have been removed. So they work well as built-in coolers, but there is no active cooling. I’ve had estimates for around $1500-2000 to reinstall a compressor to get them working as a real fridge/freezer again since all the refrigerant tubing is there and in tact.
Mounted Rockaway Fighting chair with custom cushions
All new upholstery throughout in 2019. New interior carpet in 2020.
New dual bilge pumps in 2018
Custom cover made (two-piece) that covers both the flybridge and the cockpit (such that no brightwork is exposed to the elements) in 2020. It’s gravity weighted in the back to keep the transom covered down to the water line—something that does wonders to minimize upkeep on that brightwork as well!
Major hull restoration in 2019 (see pix). All rot and decay has been removed and replaced/fixed. All brightwork on deck sanded to wood and re-varnished (multi-coat epoxy).
2 coats of antifoul bottom paint in 2019. 2 coats of top paint.
